Community Support
The philosophy of reaching out to support both the local and global community in many ways has taken root at Tropical Palms and now many of our residents, guests and team members volunteer their time to help a wide ranging number of programs such as Toys for Tots, cancer awareness and local food banks.
If you have a skill, interest, or just some time to contribute and would like to participate in a program, stop in at the Resort Office and we'll be happy to help you get started. The rewards are immeasurable.
As part of the Royalty Resorts family, we consider it an honor to regularly host events and contribute to worthy local and global organizations, and we would be happy to consider your request. Please submit it in writing at least eight weeks in advance.
Let us know the date, provide a description and inform us of your fundraising goals. Be sure to include a contact name, phone number and email address. Due to the large number of requests we receive we are unable to help as many as we might like.
Soldier Care Packages
Christmas in July Weekend - 7/25/10 the guests of Tropical Palms built care packages for the troops abroad.
Toys for Tots
Sandcastle Home Owners and Long Term Guests donated to the "Toys for Tots" campaign.Dr. Seuss Dolls & Books were purchase by TPR to benefit the "Kohls Cares for Kids" Campaign and then donated to "Toys for Tots".
Food Drives
Tropical Palms Residents collect food for the local community food bank during the Holiday Season
Racing Dog Rescue Project
Tropical Palms donates silent auction items for RDRP annual picnic which is held at our sister resort, Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in Sarasota. Tropical Palms donates weekends in our cottages and RV sites to raise money to rescue dogs from the track.
Pink Heels Tour
Helping raise funds and awareness for different Cancer organizations. Tropical also supports the Pink Heals Tour which is a tour of Pink Fire Trucks travelling the county.
Ohr Meir Group
Each year the Ohr Meir Group sponsors an all expense paid trip for terminally ill children to Orlando's Disney, Universal & Sea World theme parks. Tropical Palms is their home base for this monumental undertaking. We are proud to donate a generous portion of our efforts and time to give these kids something special to remember.
9-1-1 Open House
Tropical Palms donated prizes to this great event. This is a free family health and safety event which encourages children and families to adopt behaviors that support a healthy lifestyle. We plan on donating prizes to this great event every year.
Community Schools and Organizations
Tropical Palms team members and guests support a number of local schools and organizations by giving family weekend gift certificates as silent auction items for fund raising.Along with our sister resorts we believe in giving back to the community we live and work in.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Scholarship Foundation
The Apha Phi Alpha Foundation is dedicated to providing academic scholarships to deserving students of the Greater Sarasota/Bradenton School system. Tropical Palms donates 3 weekend vouchers for RV's and Vacation cottages for their silent auction at the foundations annual golf tournament.
